Overview

Future Music Festival was an annual music festival featuring Australian and International artists which was hosted in many Australian cities and Asia between 2006-2015. The Brisbane 2015 Future Music Festival was held at Doomben Race Course and attracted over 50,000 ticket sales for the two day event.

Solution

Our team of professional Managers and Cleaners carried out all pre-event, during event, turnaround and post event cleaning for the Friday Under 18’s and Saturday Over 18’s event days.

Challenge

As the event was held on the grassy areas of Doomben Race Course it posed many challenges. The event set up was over a large area, the attendance numbers exceeded 50,000 over the two days and the use of confetti cannons left small debris throughout the grass and other areas that needed to be removed prior to the horse training times the following mornings.

Outcome

Through good communication and team work our Managers and Cleaners worked effectively to provide cleaning and grounds maintenance for the duration of this large and prestigious event. The event grounds were well maintained for the Future Music Festival crowd with our provision of waste picking and removal, toilet cleaning, consumable restocking and emergency response cleaning. Our waste team also managed the separation of all waste into the relevant recycling streams prior to removal from the site.

The Doomben site was subject to an extended deep clean following the removal of all fixtures by the Future Music Festival Staff and the handover of the grounds back to the Brisbane Racing Club was a complete success.
